Security Review

Post 9/11, Linx International was appointed to undertake a full security review of manufacturing and commercial premises for a major international manufacturing group and to conduct risk assessments and analysis of prevailing market conditions.

Given the unstable local political situation. Countries visited included Egypt, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
The security review encompassed:

  • Executive residences
  • Assessment of contracted guard forces and operating procedures and practices
  • Completion and production of new standard operating procedures
  • Review and revision of local crisis management and evacuation plans
  • Drafting of relevant business continuity plan
  • Advising on relevant external and internal political and economic threats

Upon completion of the assignment the client adopted all recommendations given by Linx International and withdrew all operational staff from one country. Production was outsourced to local providers, thereby negating risk to employees and retaining brand presence in that country.

Kidnap and Assassination

Following the kidnap and assassination of a US company's senior executive based in Moscow, those responsible then targeted the victim's company's London based Vice-President.

Upon the recommendation of the company's lawyers Linx International were consulted. Linx International provided a team of Close Protection specialists to safeguard and advise the VP and his family. Linx International was subsequently instrumental in identifying the main protagonists. Following a series of high-level cross border negotiations involving a combination of financial, political and legal contacts, Linx International successfully facilitated a settlement between the victim company and the foreign nationals linked to the murder.

School Security Assessment

Linx International was appointed to conduct a full security review of a multi-site facility for a high profile international educational establishment post 9/11 with particular regard to:

  • Physical security measures
  • Guard force and access points to the site
  • Crisis management
  • Logistics
  • Adoption of standard operating procedures
  • Risk management
  • Roles and responsibilities of security and facility management

The security review highlighted various points and implementation of various recommendations produced positive effects:

  1. Parents security concerns were allayed
  2. Access control & perimeter security, particularly out of hours, was considerably improved
  3. Additional precautions were adopted for excursions and extra-curricular activities
  4. Security awareness was heightened throughout the institution
  5. Clear reporting lines during an incident were established

30% Saving on Purchasing

Following a spate of burglaries at the country estate of a high-net-worth businessman,

Linx International was contracted to undertake a detailed review of buildings security. Linx International's recommendations for security hardware included the installation of digital CCTV, infrared lighting and alarm systems. Linx International prepared a tender process and subsequently negotiated a 30% saving on operating and maintenance costs from selected independent suppliers. The estate has been free of crime since the implementation of our recommendations.
